We would like to take the opportunity of our 20th anniversary to thank our loyal customers for their support and patronage which has allowed us to grow to become the premier provider of database administration services in the OpenVMS™ market.

The next 20 years…

We would also like to take this opportunity to tell you a little bit about what SCI has been up to lately and what we are planning for the future…

New division - VMS System Services

SCI is very excited to announce our newest division, the VMS System Services division.  You’ve come to know and trust SCI as your Database Guardian.  We are now in the process of developing the tools and hiring staff that will allow us to be your OpenVMS System Guardians too.  Building on the experiences, tools and best practices we developed over the last 20 years in our database division, the VMS System Services division will extend the remote management services to the entire OpenVMS system.  Many of our customers have expressed an interest in additional support to fill knowledge, experience and personnel gaps in the management of their OpenVMS systems – this is exactly the goal of our VMS Systems Services division.

New team members – Brad McCusker & Rodney Jack

To meet the growing demand for our services, we have recently added 2 new employees to our team;  Brad McCusker and Rodney Jack.  Both have joined SCI from DEC/Compaq/HP where they have had years of OpenVMS experience.  Brad and Rod are exceptionally talented people with years of hands-on experience and a strong commitment to solving problems and meeting customer needs.

Brad McCusker joined SCI to lead the VMS System Services division.  While with HP, Brad spent 11+ years in OpenVMS Engineering as a developer, project leader, and project manager, and then in the Business Critical Servers division where he worked directly with customers migrating to OpenVMS on HP’s new Integrity platform. Brad brings a significant amount of knowledge and experience to SCI’s offerings.

Rod Jack joins SCI from HP where he had many years of experience providing system and technical support to in-house engineering and documentation organizations. While with HP, Rod supported multiple operating systems including Microsoft Windows, Tru64 UNIX and OpenVMS. Most recently Rod worked with the OpenVMS Engineering team, where he was responsible for qualifying and testing OpenVMS on new HP Integrity servers.
