SCI is currently seeking an experienced Oracle CODASYL DBMS Database Administrator. Come join our team of world-class database administrators located in Nashua, New Hampshire.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsibilities include working with our worldwide DBMS customers to ensure the highest level of database reliability and performance possible. Monitoring routine database administration jobs for exceptions. Provide analytical and technical assistance to resolve customer's critical DBMS database issues. Assist in developing methods to enhance tools for remotely managing and analyzing DBMS databases. Be available for on-call duties for mission-critical applications.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

· 2+ years experience as a DBA of Oracle CODASYL DBMS databases.

· Must demonstrate strong database administration skills in Oracle CODASYL DBMS.

· Extensive knowledge of OpenVMS systems and management.

· Strong familiarity with DCL programming and troubleshooting.

· Ability to visualize problems and develop effective solutions for complex issues.

· Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.

· Positive attitude and demeanor.

· Highly motivated.

· Bachelors degree in technical area OR technical training equivalent.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
Familiarity with the WorkStream® or MANMAN® application, database administration experience with Informix, Sybase, Oracle7-9i Database or Oracle Rdb in an Open VMS environment a plus. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite as a development tool is a plus. Ability to travel worldwide, maximum 10%.
