Opening of Beta Program for Oracle SQL/Services and OCI Services for Oracle Rdb, Release 7.3

Oracle is pleased to announce the opening of the beta test program for Oracle SQL/Services and OCI Services for Oracle Rdb, Release 7.3.

Oracle SQL/Services and OCI Services for Oracle Rdb Release 7.3 makes use of the new Oracle 10gR2 libraries and allows Oracle Rdb to appear as Oracle 10gR2 to an Oracle client. On the Itanium platform, the Oracle libraries are native rather than translated code, which leads to a significant performance improvement.
